SIMULATION FELLOWSHIP
Mission Statement:
“To be progressive – advancing patient safety, collaboration, and education across all learners through medical simulation.”
The NYP Brooklyn Methodist Medical Simulation Fellowship is a one year guided mentorship program that offers advanced training and expertise in the field of simulation-based healthcare education. The Simulation Fellowship is structured to provide a comprehensive overview of the concepts and application of medical simulation for the education of all healthcare professionals. Prospective fellows will be an integral part of all simulation based administrative activities and research projects. Driving the curriculum is a focus on communication, error reduction, and patient safety. We encourage and advocate for our simulation fellows to become leaders in the field of simulation.
Goals and Objectives:

History and theoretical applications of medical simulation and adult learning.

Utilize various types of medical simulation equipment and model development.

Mastery of medical simulation delivery to large group of diverse learners.

Develop skills relevant to Simulation Center operations and finances.

Fellowship Director
Kent Li, MD
Dr. Li received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He went on to complete his residency in emergency medicine and fellowship in medical simulation at the New York Presbyterian of Queens Hospital. He serves as the Simulation Fellowship Director, and is a Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College. His passions include on-shift chalk-talks, and airway management. His external interests include cycling, running, and travel.
